Unfortunate loss

First I would like to apologize for the lack of posts this week school has overwhelmed me this week but next week we will get back to normal.

This afternoon I learned of very sad news and that was that former member of the Fabulous Freebirds & Founding Member of the Hollywood Blondes Buddy "Jack" Roberts passed away. Buddy made a name for himself in this business in tag team wrestling first teaming with Johnny Valentine. Buddy using his real first name of Dale he portrayed the brother of Johnny Valentine. But didn't get that much success until he began teaming with Jerry Brown under the name of the Hollywood Blondes. (Hollywood Blondes name would later be the tag team name of Steve Austin & Brian Pillman in WCW.) Buddy then reached the peak of success when he joined Michael Hayes & Terry Gordy as a part of the Fabulous Freebirds. The Freebirds biggest feud was with the Von Erich Brothers and said feud became the biggest feud in WCCW history and is even still talked about today. Buddy's biggest singles feud came against Iceman King Parsons the height of the feud was a Hair vs Hair match. Buddy won but ended up losing his hair when Parsons put the Freebird Hair Removal Cream on his head and after that fans saw Buddy wearing a different assortment of wigs hiding the fact he was bald.
After the Freebird/Von Erich feud lost touch and ended Buddy and the rest of the Birds went to different companies like AWA, UWF, WWF. Only to return to WCCW with the Freebirds in 1987 before long they went to NWA, Jim Crockett Promotions and there was the final place the Freebirds teamed. As in 1988 Buddy Roberts retired from the ring after 23 years in the sport of Pro-Wrestling; also he retired as numerous time tag team champion in various territories. After he retired Buddy only made one more appearance for the NWA in 1990 as a guest manager for Jimmy Garvin & Michael Hayes. Roberts had throat cancer and retired to try and beat it, he had surgery to get rid of it; he even tried to help spread the message with the WWF to attempt to get people to not smoke. He would say "Don't Smoke, I think the reason this happened to me is because I was smoking too much. I recommend to anyone who smokes to quit now." Like I mentioned earlier the unfortunate news surfaced this afternoon that Buddy Roberts passed away at the age of 67. By the way I know Michael didn't make the song for him but this still fits unfortunately:
RIP Buddy Roberts, You Will be Missed
