How I Would Book it Background........ Orton vs Bryan

First let me give a brief definition of what How I Would Book it is, well it's pretty simple actually it is a blog series I started where I go back and show how I would book certain periods or feuds. Very often I have done specific periods or years rather than specific feuds or wrestlers, but today I thought about it and felt that I needed to express myself about one feud. (for any new viewers) That feud is the one that is leading WWE right which is the feud for the WWE title Randy Orton vs Daniel Bryan. Over the course of the next couple of days or more likely weeks I will step by step go through how I would Book the feud between Randy Orton & Daniel Bryan for the WWE title. I will book out every segment and every match; both on PPV and free TV. Now join me as we go back to the middle of August when this feud began and start over as I show How I Would Book It. ~~Enjoy!!!

Forgotten Title Matches

Image
During the years many people have challenged for numerous championships and because of that numerous title matches have fallen from the publics eye. Many title matches have been forgotten about and this is what I will be doing here, helping give forgotten title matches a spot light: Owen Hart vs Keiichi Yamada (Jushin "Thunder" Liger) for the IWGP JR Title (Credit to Wrestling Glory Days)

WWE: Rhodes Family Finally Getting Pushed

Image
Within WWE right now many fans think is a rehashing of an old storyline from the early part of the decade. Which it might be true but if I have learned anything it's that the key to every storyline is to get those involved over. This McMahon Faction vs Underrated WWE stars feud is working very well to help bridge the gap while Cena is gone. Also it's getting numerous talents more over then when the feud started like Daniel Bryan who is incredibly over right now, Randy Orton who had an effective heel turn which is hard for someone who has been in the company for as long as Orton. To continue The Shield has gotten back a lot of the momentum they lost prior to the feud, and now after the events of last Monday Night, The Rhodes Family is getting back in the feud: If you missed it the video is below

TNA: Does this Make Sense

Image
"As noted earlier here on the website, some new and familiar faces could be joining TNA Wrestling as there has been talk within the company of new talent being brought in as well as past X Division stars." (Credit to Wzronline.com) I thought TNA Wrestling was budget cutting? Which is also why the company is thinking about taking Impact off the road in 2014 and keeping at a central location. TNA has let go of numerous wrestlers over the last few months and there have also been report of the, possibility of TNA letting Hogan go. The point with Hogan will not be confirmed until it is either report they signed a new contract or when his contract is up and he's not coming back. Now would getting Hogan's contract out of the way allow more flexibility that is very likely but how much flexibility is uncertain. How much would it take to help push TNA towards the right side? With the above headline it seems TNA is looking to once again rebuild the once prominent X-Division.

WWE 2k14 Coming Together: The Roster

For those who may not be aware the full roster for the WWE's newest game which hits store shelfs at the end of October. This game is also the first of it's because for the first in 13 years a WWE is not being made by THQ but is being made by 2K Sports. Their parent company is Take Two Interactive who also owns Rockstar Games. I figured I would help those who may not already know about the roster by putting all together. So below and take a look at who will be appearing in WWE 2K14 on October 29: (Also visit http://wwe.2k.com/  for more info and to stay updated on WWE 2K 14) AJ Lee Aksana Brodus Clay Christian Cody Rhodes Damien Sandow David Otunga Dean Ambrose Drew McIntyre Eddie Guerrero Heath Slater Jack Swagger Jinder Mahal Justin Gabriel Kaitlyn Kane Kofi Kingston Layla Lita Mark Henry Mr. McMahon Natalya R-Truth Roman Reigns Santino Marella Seth Rollins Sheamus Sin Cara Stephanie McMahon Tensai The Great Khali Titus O’Neil Wade Barrett

WWE: Daniel Bryan vs Randy Orton

Image
Many fans that are apart of the IWC say that Bryan vs Orton is just a combo of Austin/McMahon & HHH/Jericho. I disagree completely with these statements because Bryan-Orton's feud do have similarities to those other feuds I mentioned but are in no way the same. Austin, Hunter, Vince, & Jericho can all push a feud further because of how good they are on the mic, but Bryan and Orton aren't as good as above names on the mic, which takes out that aspect of the feud unless adding another name in it who can talk. Bryan is a better wrestler then both Hunter & Austin but Jericho is better in that area. I could see the connection in away to the Jericho-Hunter feud but outside of the fast count and the title getting vacant there are no other connections. Wrestling fans just need to be happy that a feud like this is happening because I think this is best TV we have seen from WWE in a while. As they needed to do something big with Cena going on the shelf long-term which makes w

How I would book it WWF 1995..... Finale

Image
Conclusion:   I believe I am leaving the WWF in a good position for 1996, both talent wise and feud wise as well let’s take a look: Talent they have, Shawn Michaels, Razor Ramon, Ahmed Johnson, Undertaker, Diesel, Barry Horowitz, Bret Hart, Bam-Bam Bigelow, & Camp Cornette. Also coming they have Mankind along with newcomers like Johnson, The Ringmaster who will be renamed next year once he leaves Money Inc. Feud wise I would continue Barry vs Razor, start Bret vs Undertaker up until Royal Rumble have Bret win the title, then in the rematch have Mankind debut and cost Taker the belt. Then Shawn would return at the Rumble and win, go for the belt at Mania vs Bret and win. So I think WWF is in a good spot for the New Year. A little criticism I saw as I looked back not getting most out of some guys on the roster. Like, Razor Ramon, Jerry Lawler, Jeff Jarrett, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Sean Waltman, & others. Also I think I kind of got a little unreal with how I used Horowitz

Match of the Day

Image
As usually with this blog post I look for a good match that maybe not everyone has seen or if you have seen you may not remember it. Over the course of the last week or so a lot of companies have been putting out free matches, not really sure of the reason I am just happy to see it. I have found an ROH match from the summer of 2002 which was their first year as a company. It is a Four Way Match: Doug Williams vs Christopher Daniels vs Spanky vs Low Ki ~Enjoy!!

Hogan not Happy with TNA

I just found out that Hulk Hogan is unhappy with how TNA handled his daughter Brooke's release from the company. He feels they should have informed him first and allowed him to handle it as oppose to the way they did it. Which was letting her go without giving him notice. I think they are both in the wrong here as TNA could have told Hulk that they were letting Brooke go; but Hulk has to notice this isn't his company and he doesn't have a say in who gets let go or in the matter they do. Now an interesting note, this past set of Impact taping's was the first time Dixie, Hulk, & Eric were together backstage in while. Also with Hogan's contract ending on October 1st will next week's Impact be the last one for Hulk or will TNA settle. Keep an eye on your Wrestling News sites for the most updated information. As for what I think well, I think that some fans may get what they wanted which is Hulk off TNA TV. I will be sure post more when I find it. Thanks

PPV Predictions

Night of Champions       Pre-Show Match:   Tag Team Turmoil- Tons of Funk vs Prime Time Players vs 3MB vs Real Americans vs Uso Brothers. With the fact this is the Pre-Show it doesn't need to be anything special but since it is to determine a match for the PPV it should be good. Keeping it short I think that PTP will win this match. AJ Lee def Naomi, Brie Bella, & Natalya this will be the usual divas match but the only difference is this actually means more then most of the divas match have in recent memory because of the background behind it. I love that WWE is finally giving the Divas the time on TV to be more important to the shows & PPV's Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins def. Prime Time Players this should be a good match as it someone new to face The Shield, I also think this is just the start of a new feud for Reigns & Rollins. Curtis Axel and Paul Heyman def. CM Punk I see this getting to Punk vs Heyman but then Brock making his retur

Breaking: Anderson Maybe Done with TNA (Rumor/Maybe)

This is only a rumor, earlier this month it was reported Mr. Anderson's contract was coming to an end in TNA and they were not going to resign him. Some news sites are reporting after the attack from the Aces & Eights tonight that Anderson sustained he may be done with the company. Anderson has been with TNA since 2010 and is a former 2 time World Champion. He has also been a prominent memeber of the Aces & Eight's since the group began. I think this might actually be a good loss for TNA because even Anderson has talent and can go, I think it maybe time to cut your loses and go. I don't hope Anderson gets let go because I also believe that TNA has a big chance for another feud with Bully with Anderson like they did with Doc when they let him go. TNA needs to start thinking about when the Ace's will fold and leave TNA. I will post more informaion as I get it or visit: http://www.wzronline.com/ PWinsider.com for more information on this and many othe

This Day in Wrestling History

Today I would like to wish a happy birthday to a man whose seen his stock rise on the Indy Circuit 10 fold over the last year. I am refrering to the former CZW talent "Psycho Shooter" Drake Younger, he left to purse a safer way in pro-wrestling to make a living outside CZW. Drake now performs for other independent companies namley Pro-Wrestling Guerrila in California. Drake won many champions as apart of CZW and in many respects helped the company become famous but decide to do what's better for his family and purse a safer working enviornment. Below are two matches from Drake Younger to show just Hardcore he can be: Happy Birthday Psycho Shooter.

A Good Game to Look At

Over the last couple of days I have began playing a game called Extreme Warfare Revenge which is not what most of you may think it is. It is in fact a Wrestling game to be more specific a game where you have control over any company during a specific era in wrestling. Wether you want to control WCW in 2000, WWE in 2003, or even NWA in the 1980's you can do it with this game. For those who maybe curious how to download it just visit the site below: http://www.ewwarehouse.info/ For any questions visit their Facebook Page (Link below) http://www.facebook.com/pages/EWWarehouseinfo/390826574306038 ~~ Hope you enjoy the game ~~

Superstar Recall 10

Image
We return with another installment of Superstar Recall where we look back at some of the most unique characters from the past. This edition we look at WWE in the Jobber era where each jobber had a gimmick like a Garbage man, a guy from Brooklyn, a Portuguese American, a Bull, A Clown, Hog Farmer, and others. If you call tell by the video we are going to look back the "Portuguese Man 'O War" Aldo Montoya aka Justin Credible. We will look back at his days as Aldo Montoya then look at him in his days as Justin Credible.     He's not just the Greatest, He's not just the Best, He is Justin Credible...

Scouting Report

Image
Christopher Daniels good in the ring good on the mic Many people think Daniels is one of the most underrated people in wrestling today and I can't help but agree. Daniels has always had it, and he has showed it now every time he and Kaz go out and they put together entertaining segment or really good matches. Even at age 41 he doesn't show any signs of slowing down as Daniels can still go and give a good match anytime in the ring. If I was TNA I would give him even a short run with the belt just as a reward for 20 years in the business and all the hard work he has done. Daniels has deserved a World title for longer then anyone still active in wrestling but I think time is running out for him to get it let's a look at the title Daniels has won: Titles Held: 2 times ROH World Tag Team Champions (First ever champion) 1 time ROH World TV Champion 4 time X-Division Champion 2 time TNA World Tag Team Champion 6 times NWA World Tag Team Champions Below are two mat

Moment in Time 12

Image
We have looked back at a lot of great moments from the past and have covered each promotion from WCW to WWF to WWE to TNA to ECW to ROH at least once. But now we go back in time to one moment that may have been surprised I have hit on already but I thought why not save it. The moment I am referring to is the moment that Shocked the World when none other then The Shockmaster debut in WCW!!! ~~ Enjoy Below

Interview with Tim Donst

Q: For the readers who may not know who you are why not give a little background of who you are & how you got into the Wrestling business? I've been wrestling for roughly 6 years. I first got involved through CHIKARA PRO after being trained by Mike Quackenbush and Chris Hero. Since than I've been lucky enough to wrestle all over the United States. Q: When you were growing up were you a wrestling fan or no and if not where you aware of it? I got into wrestling later than most people in my profession. I got into it when I was maybe 12 or 13 but was hooked since. Q: If you were a fan growing up was there any wrestlers specifically who made you say I am going to do this and be like them I wrestled in highschool so Kurt Angle would be the first answer off the top of my head. I really respected what he did for the amateur sport. Though Brian Kendrick was the first guy that made me believe I could do it too. Getting to wrestle him was surreal because of this.   Q:
