Wrestlemania Hype: Cena 2

Now i have voiced my opinion on how i feel about John Cena but since the start of this feud with Rock he has done two of the best promos of his career. One of which was done last week on Raw which I think it was good but not as good as what people are making it out to be. I can say this because either A cena will stay the way he was last week until after Mania then go back to being the Cena all of us now and most of Hate. Or B last week was the only time we will see that from him and this point forward he will be the guy who tries to hard to be funny and doesnt focus on improving in the ring like he should. To tell you the truth before people start to jump down my throat i hope i am wrong because the cena from last week was a breath of fresh air. Also they need to slow down on the title reigns for Cena because, I have been watching WWE for about 15 years at this point and, if he breaks Flair's record of 16 title reigns as World champion i will stop watching WWE. That would be compl

Wrestlemania Hype Up

Since WWE is going to be hyping up what many are calling the most anticipated match in WWE history The Rock vs John Cena at Wrestlemania 28 on April 1st in Miami, FL. Now I will say I am one of the millions of Rock's fans & one of the many who hate John Cena on TV. Now I will do my part to hype this match with WWE for the next 35 days but I will doing it in a different way every week this week starting with John Cena. Now way back in 2002 John debuted in the WWE and began his career with a gimmick that no member of the WWE universe had seen before. This was because John was rapping, he would do little raps before his matches to get the fans amped up and it began to get over. This my friends started the push up the ladder for John but the reason is because of raps like this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DtpNT4abcjI  Rap on Brock http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kT5Z8MqO7bo  rap on Angle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCqoAorsBMw  rap on undertaker

Could it Happen

Earlier today I saw one of the many wrestling podcasts on Youtube and this guy answered a user asked question regarding the thought of WWE/THQ maybe doing a WCW or ECW video game. Since i thought it is an interesting topic i figured i would share my opinion on it right now. Many TV & Dirtsheet writers over the past couple of years have refered to one of these companies as damaged goods because of how it went out. I will tell you which one in a second but first i want to say some positives and negatives in doing something like this. It would be a game with only WCW or ECW guys from a specific era No WWE guys from now or then cause that would defeat the purpose of the game. The problem with a WCW game is some people look at the company as damaged goods because of how it was run in the past. Also it would be difficult to duplicate the depth that the talent roster had in the company at any given point an time. Because their would leave to many people out of the game or have to many in

Creative Has Nothing For You Oh Really

This is the new blog series I have been hinting at over the past couple of weeks in some of the posts i have done. A couple of weeks ago I was watching Colt Cabana's hit Youtube series that he does with Highspots.com called Creative has Nothing for You. I thought it would be a good idea to make it a weekly blog post on the site. As numerous people are told Creative has nothing for you but most of the time that isnt really the case. Its usually management doesnt see it in the star to make it past a certain point I am here to prove that wrong. The first one I will prove that Creative could have more for is the man who is on his way to becoming the longest regining X-Division Champion in TNA history: Austin Aries Austin is one of the most talented people on the TNA roster right now and is also one of the most hard working people on the show. He steals the show with his opponent everytime he goes out to the ring to compete. The promo skills that he has can help them in the long run b

The Right Idea

For once the WWE may have the right idea as for once they are giving new people a chance and it's working they are getting reactions. The people I am referring to are Santino Marella & David Otunga because, these guys are probably getting two of the top reactions of anyone on the roster. I will speak of both of them but the first one i want to take about is Otunga. David had always had it in him to get some reaction but i think what we realized is he needs someone who can generate more heat for him if he expects to get over. Which is what is happening now with him and Johnny Ace because they keep associating them together he is getting whenever people see him because of his association with Johnny. Now thats not bad but if they want him to keep getting heat then just have John continue to manage him to get him more heat or have David cut promos about John prasing him which would get people to hate him and think of him as a kiss up. There is nothing wrong with getting over with

PPV Predictions

Elimination Chamber John Cena vs Kane this match will be a good match cause its the only type of match cena is good at fighting and thats a brawl but also thats Kane's speciality as well. To further push Cena embracing the hate i think it would make sense for him to lose tonight but i would think they would want him to win his last feud before mania so cena could win also. But because I want to see how they are going with the Embrace the Hate stuff i am going with a victory for Kane Tamina vs Beth Phoenix(c) usual 2 minute divas match but i think if anyone can beat beth that hasnt fought her already its Tamina but this may also be building to a Beth/Kong match at Mania. Because I am a member of the mark community i think Kong vs Beth would be a mark out moment for mania. Since thats the case i am going with Beth winning the match tonight Smackdown Elmination Chamber: (c)Daniel Bryan vs Big Show vs Wade Barrett vs Cody Rhodes vs Great Khali vs Santino Marella this will be a great m

WWE: PG Era vs Attiude Era

Thursday I used an article from WZR that said WWE management believes that talent isnt not as motivated as they once where. That lead me to do this post comparing the PG & Attitude eras to each other. Now i know some say there is no comparison well i will try and make you see their is comparison from then & now. To start I am going to talk about what made the Attitude Era great & then I will talk about why the PG era isnt all bad. Some say it started in mid 97, others say it started at Wrestlemania 14 everyone has their own opinion when it began. Same thing when it ended everyone has their own opinion weather it was Wrestlemania 17, when the Hardcore title became unified or Survivor Series 2001 when WCW & ECW died. The only that is for sure the period in WWE that became known as the Attiude Era was the greatest period of time to be Wrestling fan then any other time. This period helped WWE become the all powerful promotion that it is now as because of this period they b

The truth about WWE

All the dirtsheets are reporting that WWE has seen that the talent roster baiscally isnt as strong as it once was & that the people on the roster now are content with what they have and arent striving for more. I believe this is true because, Jim Ross said the same thing in a past blog post on his site. This just means that WWE isnt as delusional as TNA is when it comes to certain things pertaining to the company. Because this is the truth and anyone can see that the WWE talent roster is drastically different then it was in past years, the sad part is that it has taken them this long this when it has been obvisous for the last couple years. The WWE doesnt believe in giving the creative freedom they once did & they dont believe in giving the pushes they once did. There is way to much politics going on nowadays which isnt benefiting business for the WWE its hurting them in the way its preventing new stars from surfacing unless they have the backing of someone backstage. Just look

Flashback Report

Ahmed Johnson poor mic skills average skills in ring  Best Possible Feuds For the Period: Rock, Undertaker, HHH, Bret Hart, Goldberg Ahmed was suppose to be the next big thing in the WWF during the 90's he was going to be their next household name cause he fit the mold of what a star was back then in Vince's eyes. It was all going great he was IC Champion they were mapped out when he would be ready to win the World title. But then the Injuries started to happen when he was attacked during a tag team and got hurt cause it was reveled he had kidney problems. This caused him to not only lose the IC title but also loss a chance to challenge HBK for the WWE title the night after SummerSlam. Then he returned in 97 and began feuding with the man who "injured" him Faarooq & the Nation of Domination. It was also around now he started teaming with the Undertaker vs the Nation. In Mid 98 however he would turn his back on the Undertaker and join the New Nation with F

Post PPV Thoughts

For two of the matches last night i didnt wager a guess for one of them i forgot to to and the other one was a filler and wasnt on the card. But i did however only get 3 out of the 6 matches i guessed right which isnt really important right now what is important is filling the people in on what happened in the opening match last night. It was Zema Ion vs Jesse Sorensen to determine the Number 1 Contender for the X-Division title this match could have been better but unfortunately they botched a Moonsault to the floor. Zema went off the second rope to the floor onto Jesse and someone screwed it up because Zema got Jesse in the head with his knees which knocked Jesse out. I have heard some people say this was apart of the script or written into the match it wasnt they botched the move and Jesse got hurt because of it. To prove that doctors say that Jesse suffered an injury to his C-1 vertebrae, which is in his spine and connects the spine to the head which why he couldnt move yesterday.

The team is finally Creative

As of today Vince Russo is no longer the Head of the TNA Creative team thank god. That job now belongs to Dave Lagana who has been apart of the WWE & ROH creative team in the past. Though he is not a Paul E or a Gabe Saplosky he is still a good creative guy and helped TNA with the Ring Ka King series. Which as far as I am concerned is a very good thing TNA because now they wont have someone in power who tries to recreate the past. But who will try to help the future which is what TNA's have been hopen for, I am not saying that TNA will turn around right away cause of Lagana. Let's just see where it goes from here with him I am just happy that Russo is off the Creative team. Now the other thing is tonight is the TNA ppv Against all Odds even though i didnt post the predictions today they are up already. Because I thought the ppv was last weekend until about 8et when i figured out that it was today. So once again I apologize and below are the complete list of matches tonight

Bourne Again or Not So Much

Over the past couple of months WWE Superstar Evan Bourne has had some problems with Drugs and the upper management of WWE. Evan who started in WWE back in mid 2007 when he got signed to a developmental contract and sent to OVW then moved to FCW. Already an established named Evan moved quickly through FCW reaching WWE in Mid 2008 on the June 3 edition of ECW. I say already established because well he is prior to the signing to WWE Bourne was apart of many different indy companies ranging from ROH, TNA, IWA-MS, WSX, & a vast array of other companies. In his debut he fought Shelton Benjamin to a countout loss this lead to a short feud with Shelton & the early partnership stages with him & Kofi. After around a year on the ECW brand Bourne made his debut on RAW in a Gauntlet match coming up short against Randy Orton. His first big feud in WWE was against Chris Jericho which took place in mid 2010 near the time Chris left again. But unfortunately nothing came of it and Bourne wen

How Far Will The Future Go

Two days ago news broke that WWE had finally signed Indy Circuit Star, Chris Hero after months of negotiating & drug testing the contract was finally signed. Now Chris joins former partner Claudio in FCW where he will learn how to wrestle a WWE match. I have no doubt that Chris will learn how to wrestle the WWE style and will get promoted because he is that good of a wrestler. He will also be bringing a sort of Japanese style of wrestling with him something that is unfamilar to most in the WWE. The one criticism that people have of this signing is that they dont think that Hero will live up to his potential. For those who dont know Hero & Punk are very good friends from prior to when Punk got signed so i think Hero's WWE career will be pretty good not that i like the idea of politics but if get someone to shut up then why not. Also from the great jobs Black & Moxley sorry I mean Ambrose & Rollins did in their house show matches it has been said that they changed how

Is the Heat Deserved 2

News broke last night that Miz has heat backstage which means he has angred somepeople in power backstage and has to be punished. What it was that caused this well it has nothing to do with Miz missing the spot last night causing truth to crash n burn on the floor. But Miz has this heat before because he is being blamed for the lack of buyrates from the Survivor Series PPV. Cena, Rock, & Truth arent but Miz is oh yah that seems fair blame one and not everyone who deserves the blame. So because of the bad buys they are burying Miz and have been since the beinging of the year which doesnt make sense to me because they are losing a credible heel in the process. Making him go on a losing streak should only be used for reason, and thats if its one thing if its to push a face to the next level, its a totally different thing if its to bury the guy like what happen to MVP a couple of years ago. By making him do it to punish him also punishes the company because, they lose a credible heel t

PPV Predictions

Against All Odds before i start the predictions i just want to say any match not announced for the show before the show begins i cannot pick a winner for so therefore dont count towards the amount i may get wrong or right cause there is no way to predict what filler matches will be on the show Jesse Sorenson vs Zema Ion #1 Contender Match for the X-Division title this should be given the time to be a good match with a lot of athletic moves throught it. But i think Ion will come away with the win because it seems its his chance to get the title shot one on one (c)Gail Kim vs Tara even though both these women have what it takes to go a decent amount of time TNA is getting to be like WWE in only giving the divas 3 minute tops for the match time which isnt cool. I think that Kim will keep the belt again cause i dont see Tara winning it back from Gail (c)Matt Morgan & Crimson vs Samoa Joe & Magnus This should be a decent match as all of these guys can hold their own in the ring.

WWE: Talent Roster

Over the last 5 years the WWE has fired people for know good reason and screwed up not doing the right things with people who deserve better then they got. But I am only going to look at now I will save the look back for the newest Blog Series debuting in a couple of weeks. 2 or 3 years ago it was said WWE was going to move to the Young Push like in the mid 90's but, because of the lack of booking ability & patients shown by the creative team & Vince it was stopped almost completely in more ways the one. First way was politics people say this exists in every promotion they are wrong it doesnt happen in TNA or any small market company it doesnt even happen in Japan. Vince trust his stars to make the best decision that would benefit the business in the long run but thats not what really happends. I mean you know the company has a politcs problem if they have golden boys that dont get punished just get warned because that make the company lots of money. Thats not right if anyo

The Future Should Be Bright

A few months ago i did something like this with FCW looking at who could possibly be in the future for the WWE. Now I am going to the other company TNA since they have their own farm system why dont we take a look at some people down there. Ted McNaler: formerly one half of one of if not the greatest tag teams in OVW history but now that his days of teaming are over Ted can focus on what could be a very profitable singles career in OVW & TNA. In the ring Ted is one of the top guys in OVW same with his mic skill but he just has to prove himself a singles star before going to TNA Jessie Godderz: far off from getting promoted without showing how green he is cause it takes time for people to learn the craft enough to be able to do good enough to stick around. Which i am sure is only part of why they want Jessie Godderz he probably wanted to become a wrestler but also TNA probably saw the possible publicity. Jessie has some in ring skill but that still needs to develop & his mic

The Winners Are

Over the last month i have been doing polls to determine the EOW Year end Awards the voting has closed the winners are decided. I appreciate all the votes from you guys & hope for the same outcome at the end of this year. Without further putting off the winner of the EOW Year End Awards are first: Wrestler of the Year: CM Punk- Before the summer of last year Punk was just another wrestler in the WWE. But on 6/27 on RAW Punk changed all that with one promo. The worked shoot that sent the WWE Universe off and Punk capitalized by having a great match with Cena at MITB. The bad thing the story lost steem and ended up dieing but what found out was the Punk was a lot better then it was made out to be which made the Universe fall in love with him a face once again. Promotion of the Year: Dragon Gate USA- I dont know how true it is but not up to me its up to all of you guys. DGUSA took another step in the right direction in 2011 offering talent that they only can to fans that wrestling
