Final Battle 2012: Jerry Lynn

With Ring of Honor's biggest ppv Final Battle right around the corner, I feel it more then right to talk about what will be happening at the show on December 16 in the weeks moving to the show. The first thing I want to speak of is the most emotional match on the show Jerry Lynn's last ROH match. Jerry has been one of those guys who has honed there craft in anyway possible over the years and has worked his ass off to make a name for himself and in my opinion he has. Lynn is one of the few men I can think off the top of my head to have stints in WCW, ECW, WWE, TNA, & ROH. Also he is one of the few to win gold basically everyone he has gone other then WCW because he wasn't there long enough to win gold. Jerry is a former 2 time World Champion in ECW and ROH; also winning the Lightheavyweight Title in WWE, and the TNA X-Division and Tag Belts while in TNA. Lynn has also had Classic matches in his career with the likes of Lance Storm, Rob Van Dam, Justin Credible, AJ Styles, Low Ki, and many many more people. Jerry Lynn has been wrestling for 24 years and he says that his body is telling him to Retire which is the right thing to do. Because you don't want to keep going even if your body can't.
Little backstory into Jerry's career to start, his first big feud came against The Lighting Kid aka Sean Waltman which they fought on and off for two years. The feud gave both men a lot of national exposure as many know where Waltman went as he was signed by WWF in 1993. Lynn however was signed by WCW in 1995 where he was known as Mr. JL and himself while with WCW. However Jerry was fired in early 1997 by Eric Bischoff even though he was never really given a chance. From there Lynn went to ECW where he had his most success out of anywhere went. Note worthy acievements are the matches he had with RVD are still talked about today as some of the best matches in ECW history. Lynn also won the ECW World title in October 2000 from Justin Credible but lost it to Steve Corino a month or so later. After ECW went out Lynn went from WWE to WWA to Indy Circuit to TNA where he became a fouding father of the X-Division. After 5 years with TNA Jerry left to look for new things to do and he did as over the next few years he became a staple on the Indy's. In 2009 Jerry debuted for an indy company named Ring of Honor, it was less then a year that Jerry won the World Title. In 2010, Jerry returned to TNA to take on RVD at Hardcore Justice but because of injury the match didn't happen for almost a year happend at Destination X 2011 Lynn vs RVD one more time.
In the end Jerry Lynn will go down in history as a Well respected & well veresed legend in many ways in this business. Lynn is one of the best in ring workers in the business today and has passed it along to some young guns. On March 10 2012, Jerry Lynn said after 24 years of Wrestling that at the end of 2012 he would retire from Wrestling. Final Battle 2012 will be his last match in ROH and his frist match back in almost 3 years.

This is just the start more hype to come for Final Battle 2012 as it's on December 16 2012 live on IPPV from Manhattan Center in Manhattan, NY.
