Ouellet is Out of here!!!!!!

5 years ago a diva entered into the diva search she didnt win but got a developmental deal for her troubles her name is Maryse Ouellet. Maryse went to OVW to train where she at first she was a manager & occasional wrestler as she was the manager for Syilvan Grenier. She really didnt start wrestling until the summer of 2007 when FCW opened she became the manager of Ryan O' Riley with Lacey Von Erich. After that she started to wrestle in singles and tag team competition but before long was back to managing this time was managing Ted Dibiase J.R. She wasnt up with the main roster until 2008 when she became the new manager for deuce & domino after they fired Cherry which is who Maryse would loss to in her in ring debut. It wasnt really until the feud with Michelle McCool that Maryse started being viewed as a top diva because it was at Unforgiven 2008 that they fought to see who would become the first divas champion Maryse lost. Before the end of 2008 she was in line for another

History of: CZW 2

Now CZW has a TV Deal on the station WGTW-48 and it wa Fake You TV, during their first show which was called Take 1 they attempted a dual balcony dive which didnt work. Ric Blade on one side attempted to jump on Justice Pain through two tables but got a broken leg for his troubles. Nick Gage fell off the balcony onto the floor and continued the match but Blade got take out of the arena. Long story short after one show in 2004 didnt air cause of content CZW pulled the shows from the station. Take a trip back in time to when they did Cage of Death 3 which was done the same year ECW went under. The Cage of Death concept is baiscally a cage match with weapons inside of and you win by pinfall or submission but they usually have fire, barbed wire and other violent things happend in it. For Cage of Death 3 CZW needed a bigger arena so they went to the ECW Arena for the first time and got the arena's first sell-out since the ECW era. This started Indy wars which was a battle between 3PW, X

Today is a special day because today a former world champion is celebrating their birthday one from our era he is Edge. Edge at first got trained up in canada by Sweet Daddy Siki & Ron Hutchinson after winning an essay contest but could follow his dream cause he needed to pay the bills. So he really didnt start in the business until the early 90's on the indy circut up in canada & the great lakes where he was under the name of Sexton Hardcastle. While in that region he formed a team with Joe Legend called Sex & Violence which later was made into a stable which included Chirstian & Rhino. From that point on which was 1996 he & Christian became a tag team on the circut they were called Hard Impact then the Suicide Blondes they also fought together in Japan as the Canadian Rockers. In 1996 Adam went to wrestle a match for WWE as an ehancement and Bret Hart saw the match liked what saw and put good word in for Edge which lead him to get a contract in 97. Before he j

this is a happy day for an extention of an international company because today was the first 1 year ago they debuted on IPPV (Internet Paper View) which a big deal for any indy company. The company in question is Dragon Gate USA the ppv name was Bushido: Code of the Warrior live in Fall River Michigan. The show had 3 dark matches one 7 way match which was won by Sami Callihan, a tag match won by Matt Taven & Brandon Webb and another dark match. The highlights of the show were Moxely vs Jacobs in an I-Quit Match, Aries vs Yoshino & BxB Hulk vs Shingo for the World title. This night also saw the debut of Austin Aries in this company which he fought Yoshino in an 18 minute match which is very good to see from a vet like A double in his debut. The world title match was a big deal because it was the first time a world wide internet audience in the US saw a japanese title on the line on ppv the match in which BxB retained the gold & the other match Yoshino won. Also Ronin formed

TNA Wrestling Truth is: Writing Team

With the success in viewership of the first part of this tna wrestling truth is: i am going to do blogs regarding my opinion of whats wrong with TNA. First i would like to say this is My Opinion if you dont agree with it thats fine you dont have to read it. Now to the blog TNA's creative team or lack their of i mean they for the most part just steal WWE storylines or WCW storylines that worked and use them over again. Which is insults the fans cause it makes it seem like they wont notice an example is Heel Stable (TNA has done this to many times for me to name them) vs Face Stable or even TNA original idea WCW vs NWO. Another example maybe a year ago they re-did the Montreal Screwjob with Kurt Angle & AJ Styles with the same referee screwing Angle. So many of them fall under the first one that i said its not even funny TNA is always trying to duplicate the magic that the original NWO had. Another problem of the writing team is they develop storys for the people they sign not th

Barry in a Harry Situation

though my title may suggest other wise this is not a laughing matter i found out last night that Barry Windham former NWA World Heavywieght, US, Tag Team in WCW, WWE, & NWA he is on of the greats. Barry suffered a heart attack earlier this week and is now in the ICU fighting for his life. At least this isnt self infilceted in just a matter of nature which unforunatlly happens i hope that everyone is keeping Barry in their thoughts and prayers. Windham best known for his family as he, his brother Kendall, father Robert (also known as Blackjack Mulligan), brother in law Mike Routundo, & last but not least his nephew's & Mike's sons Taylor & Windham (windham better known as Husky Harris) who are both in WWE developmental. Now do you see why he is known for his family, but also Barry had plenty of show stealing match with Ric Flair over the NWA World Title tough it wasnt Ric who he won the belt from it was the Great Muta him and Ric still had a great history. Barry

Today is a happy day for a current WWE employee because he turns 33 years old today he name is Phillip Jack Brooks or as many of you know him as CM Punk. He started on the backyard wrestling scene in a local company. Where he wrestled until moving on IWA-MS an indy company owned by IAN Rottan where he won the Jr. Heavyweightght title & the World Title. He also had show stealer's with friends of his Chris Hero he had a 90 minute TLC Match with & many other matches, & vs Colt Cabana which Colt was and still is Punk's friend maybe even best friend. Because the two of them trained  together at the Steel Domino training academy in Chicago. He really didn't reach main stream success till his feud with Raven which took place in Ring Of Honor were he won the ROH World Title & Tag team titles. Before winning the gold he had show stealer's in ROH with future TNA Star Samoa Joe 2 time limit draws and one where Joe won and that set of matches are 3 of the best match

Countdown to Lockdown

I just finished the newest Mick Foley memoir called Countdown to Lockdown and though it may have been made a while ago but still. I am not going to say this is a must buy for any wrestling fan because even though it was a good book still i think its more for like TNA fans (if their any left) or fans of Mick Foley's books. Cause this is the first of his books i read and i didn't really know what to expect. Some of the things Mick speaks of in the book are the match he had with Randy in 04 as well as the match with Edge in 06 & trying to duplicate that "time in a bottle" match he had with them John Morrison for a match in 2009 to help JoMo get on the map. He also talks about him helping injured troops, conversing with famous politicians, donating to charity, & meeting singer Tori Amos. Some other things he goes through are childhood stories from summer jobs to being on the wrestling team with Kevin James, what lead to the end of his active performing days, &

He has done alot on the scence and competed against some of the best like Jon Moxley (Dean Ambrose), Arik Cannon, Adam Cole, Finaly, Trent Acid, & others. Sami has also the dubious distiction of fighting on the first episode of ROH on HDNET in a losing effort to Kenny King way back when. Callihan nowadays holds the AIW world title & is apart of a stable in Dragon Gate USA called D.U.F (Dirty, Ugly, Fuc**) he is with Arik Cannon & Pinkie Sanchez. Callihan also competes in two of the newest companies Jeff Katz's Wrestling Revolution Project & Resistance Pro Wrestling ran by Billy Corgan. At this point Sami has been wrestling since he was 19 an

Post PPV Thoughts

Last Night WWE had Vengence live on ppv yesterday i also did ppv predictions and i got 4 out of 8 right which would be half. The matches i guessed wrong were Orton vs Cody, Punk & HHH vs Miz & Truth, Ziggler vs Ryder and a technicatlity i got Henry vs Show wrong also. First i want to start with Ziggler vs Ryder i am not unhappy that Ziggler retained the title but now if he loses the belt to Mason Ryan cause of a feud that is supposed to happend between the two then i will be mad. But honestlly it was like the Henry vs Show match i didnt really care who won i would've been happy with the outcome either way. Speaking of Henry vs Show well i got it wrong not because Big Show won but well the match ended in a No Contest because the ring broke after a top rope superplex from Henry to Show. (Dont believe me a link is at the bottom to the video.) Cody vs Orton i hope is going to be a long term feud cause i believe that this is one of the only ways cody can take the next step forwa

This day in Westling History

Today maybe more important then yesterday's but still i am doing it this day 15 years ago we saw the debut of a man named Avatar on the October 23rd edition of Monday Night Raw. This Raw also had a Battle royal to determine nothing apparently just a Battle royal to get people seen on TV which was one by Owen Hart. One of the most underrated people in WWE history in my opinion. But as I said in the first sentence a man named Avatar debuted on this show against a jobber this is a big deal because of who he would become. Know i dont mean his next gimmick he actually became something in ECW then took it to the WWF were had success. He didnt have much success as Avatar so that was dropped very fast then he became Leif Cassidy but no success. To he ECW he goes first as Leif Cassidy then after a while he changes his gimmick to one where he comes out with a styrofoam head get it yet. Well i am gonna tell you anyway today the former European Champion, 20 plus time Hardcore Champion & fo

PPV Predictions

Once again today we put on our thinking caps as its time for another edition of PPV Predictions this time is WWE Vengence (c)Beth Pheonix vs Eve Divas Title Match this will be like any other divas match it will go maybe around 3 minutes with nothing special happening in this one. I see beth retaining the gold cause she just won it an unlike TNA they dont make the division specific titles change right away (c)Air Boom vs Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger Tag Team Titles this has all the makings of a match that could put the division on the map but two things have to happend they have to be long term teams & have to be given enough time which i dont think will happend. I see Air Boom winning the match as they seem to the only long term team that has challenged for the belts. (c)Dolph Ziggler vs Zack Ryder United States Title like the last match this has all the makings of being a good match but it would have to get enough time, this would be to make sure Ryder can shed the title of

Today is actually something unique that went down it wasnt a ppv, or a debut, or a death, return or anything it was a first time ever. Today 10 years ago on a Monday Night Raw that was hot in the mix of the Invasion Angle saw a RAW with multitude of championship matches on it. Every title from the cruserwieght to the tag team were on the line however a majority of them were the WCW titles only the European & Hardcore titles were on the line from the WWE on that night. The match that makes this show kind of a big deal is the 3 match from this card it was for the US title the match was between Rhyno & Kurt Angle. This match was the longest one on the show and it was a big deal cause Angle won the belt becoming the first WWE guy to win the US belt in its 36 year history.  I should clarify this because ex-employees of WWE have won the belt but Angle was the fist person that was a WWE employee to win the title this is a big deal cause the belt was the 2nd longest tenured WCW title t

TNA Wrestling Truth is:

TNA or Impact Wrestling whatever it is they are called the management people need to realize that most of the members of the IWC (Internet Wrestling Community) don’t hate the company its how they run things that people don't like. Now most people may not be, being fair because they don't have the experience or are in the place that TNA management is I mean that for the most part people in the IWC don't run a wrestling company. I do admit that I am a member of the IWC & I admit that I bash TNA very often but it’s only because of the era I grew up in which was the Monday Night War era or the time period of the mid to late 90's. Which was when WCW & WWE were competing for fans which made the business more exciting and they were innovative. Now that's what we don't have that's because TNA isn't a competitive product for WWE which some management in TNA may not like but still "it’s true" "it’s damn true." It’s not just the fans

History of: CZW

Back in 1999 a man named Jon Zandig started a company called Combat Zone Wrestling he had though from 4 of his students Nick Gage, Ric Blade, Lobo, & Justice Pain started running shows in Jersey & Delware. The company however didnt take any shape until after ECW went under which in turn made room for another Hardcore Company. This started inter-promtional feud between XPW & CZW which wasnt a storyline the two companies dispised each other so much that when Messiah (Ex XPW King Of the Deathmatch Champ) jumping ship, and for that he got attacked near his home by two unkown people who many think was was XPW Owner Rob Black who sent them. Because of Messiash jumping ship & sleeping with his wife so the unkown people cut off Messiah's thumb and roughed him a bit as well. Around this time also there was a talent exchange between BJPW & CZW which led to a lot of CZW talent going to Japan like Trent Acid (Michael Verdi), Nick Gage, Wifebeater, Johnny Kashmere, Ruckus, &

Though this match may only have a few matches to its name still it is a very intense match anytime WWE made it happend; but like everything else in this sport this match had its debut as well & with that it became the calling card. The match i am refering to is Buried Alive, the debut i am refering to is In Your House 96, & the people i am talking about are Mankind who fought someone who became his longtime rival The deadman, The Undertaker. The show began with the first ever meeting between two of the future top stars in the WWE this saw HHH vs Austin in a 15 minute match. Austin won the match, their really isnt anything else worth noting on this card as both the tag titles & ic belt were on the line but got retained by the people who held them. Back to the Buried Alive match if you dont know what it is well its a match were one guy usually has to through the Undertaker into a grave at the top of a mound of dirt and "bury him alive." I say usually Undertaker beca

This day 9 years ago the wrestling world was sadended by the loss of one half of one of the greatest tag teams in the history of the business his name is Michael Hegstrand aka Road Warrior Hawk. Beging in GCW one of the main NWA territories Road Warrior Hawk & Animal were off and running with Paul Ellring their manager. After reach top success in GCW they moved to bigger companies specifically the AWA & AJPW which is All Japan Pro Wrestling & is one of the longer running companies in all of Japan. In early 1987 they returned to the AWA but instead left for big money contracts in the NWA were they got a huge push to boot as a monster duo. After years of feuding with some of the top teams in wrestling from 4 horseman, Samoan Swat Team (later Headshrinkers), Russian Team, Midnight Express, The Powers of Pain, & others. Also becoming 1 time Tag Champion & winners of the Jim Crockett SR tag team Memorial Cup they moved on in 1990 to the company they not been yet that was

Tonight on ESPN their is actually wrestling not in a good way though tonight is an E:60 documentary on one of the smartest people in the business Razor Ramon, Diamond Studd, Scott Hall. Many may not believe he is one of the smartest people well thats because he is not clean to show it this documentary will give insight into the rise & fall of one of the could have beens in this business as told be his friends & family. Specifically I heard, Eric Bischoff, Hulk Hogan, Justin Credible, Sean Waltman, Cody Hall (Scott's Son), Scott's Ex-Wife whose name escapes me right now i am sure some others to. But this will be interesting stuff and its only an hour show support for Hall watch one of the most devestating stories in the last decade in this sport of a guy who could have had it all but still hasnt relized it an its unfortuate. Must See I am going to watch it and i never watch these kinds of things tonight in 10 minutes ESPN. Rember ESPN!!!! TUNE IN

For many they know him now as a crafty veteran but at one point like everyone else he was a rookie starting out in a stable called the brood. He was with Gangrel & Edge yes i am talking about Christian know it not his birthday but its his Debut day. This day 13 years ago saw a spunky kid from Toronto not only make his WWF TV debut but also make his ppv debut in a title match know less for the light heavyweight title against Taka Michinoku. The show was Judgment Day 1998 and it was headlined by Kane vs the Undertaker for the World Heavyweight Title, which ended in a no contest. Though it may have been his first night christian still came away the victor with Edge & Gangrel watching from the outside. He became on of if not the first person to win a title in his first show. Also he became only the second ever champion first being Taka who won it earlier that year. Not much else to say other than i noticed something with the title matches on this show and the ppv i did yesterday a

Post PPV Thoughts

Last Night was TNA Bound For Glory, I was wrong way more than i was right only guessing 3 out of the 9 matches right why because TNA creative doesnt know what they are doing. I am in know way pissed that i got so many matches wrong it just means my logic was wrong or TNA's logic is wrong. I am happy seeing Velvet as the champion as she is the only original knockout not to have won the belt. But I am really not happy about the I-Quit match, TLC Match, or the main event, some of you maybe shocked that i didnt say Hogan vs Sting to but what more could you have expected from that match. First the I-Quit Styles vs Daniels i understand the attack after the match for the feud to continue not like they really need it to continue i mean c'mon how many more times can these two feud. The ending was horrible Styles going after Daniels with a screwdriver really? really? what are they ECW? & Full Metal Mayham Lynn vs RVD. As far as i am concerned that match tarnished not only the match a

This many fans don't know this but it has a form of a ominance & actually means something probably not as much as i am making it out to be but still. This way back in 99 fans saw No Mercy live from the Gund Arena in Cleveland. The show was headlined by Austin vs HHH for the title in a No Holds Barred Match but then again the match that stole the show. Was the first ever tag team ladder match for Terri Runnels managerial services Hardy's vs Edge & Christian. By the way HHH retained the belt in the main event and the Hardy's won Terri as a manager but that's not all this ppv was also someones last night ever in WWF. He participated in the first Good Housekeeping Match which was for the IC belt as Jeff Jarrett fought Chyna. For those who know any WWE history Chyna may have left once but that was because of an injury but Jeff he went to WCW in 99 for a second time. Jeff being the champ lost the belt to chyna, therefore she became the first ever women to hold the ic

Today it is not just the greatest day, not the best day but today is a Just inCredible day because today the wrestler with that name celebrates his birthday today. Justin originally signed by the WWF and fought under the name of Pj Walker, as he was a jobber or a talent enhancement. Until he got signed by WWF full time and became Aldo Montoya or the Portuguese Man O War who on a technically was still an ehanchment talent even the association with the Kliq didn't help him. So asked for his release after only being used 2 times a months. But instead of taking the chance of him going to WCW he was sent Memphis the training academy for WWF at the time. Stayed for 7 weeks then got his release from them with the condition that he couldn't join WCW so he did the next best thing and went to ECW. Were he became Justin Credible and became a star as during his tenure with ECW he won the World Title & Tag Team belts with Lance Storm. When ECW closed he went to the WWE apart of the inva

PPV Predictions

Bound For Glory Tag Team Title Match  Ink Ink vs Mexican America (c) this will be an average match as nobody in the match is like a stand-out in ring skill wise especailly on the mexican america side. This will be a good indication towards wether Hernandez is getting signed back or not cause if they drop the belts i think he wont be coming back. I am going to go with Ink Ink winning the titles for that reason or another Crimson vs Samoa Joe vs Matt Morgan another average match for the ppv and an obvisous outcome as Crimson is undefeated and unless they plan to turn him heel then he is going to win the match. (pointless) Knockouts Title Match Winter (c) vs Velvet Sky vs Mickie James vs Madison Rayne it could be a good match as all the particpant arent bad wrestlers and compete for a good amount of time but i dont think it will go that long to save time for other matches. I see winter retaing the gold because she just won it back and its not good to keep changing the champion consistant

With Bound For Glory just around the corner it is only fitting to be talking about a BFG from the past more specific Bound For Glory 2007. This show featured Angle vs Sting, Knockout Battel Royal (first knockout champ crowned), Steiner Brothers vs Team 3D in table match, & LAX vs XXX in a great Ultimate X. Depth defing moves during opening Ultimate X match from Homcide getting Border Tossed to the outside on XXX to Elix leaping of the truse on to hernandez. This was also for the #1 contender to the tag titles which LAX got cause they won the match. Small note this night was also the debut of Consequences Creed who was in a tag team match with truth defending the belts vs Styles & Tomko. The next highlight came when the Steiners locked up with Team 3D in a tag team 2 out of 3 tables match which shockingly steiners won with the help of the Motor city Machine Guns who later feuded with 3D. Worth mentioning that during that show there was a womens gaulet to determine the fist Knock

Nerd Note

Before Matt Hardy turned to drugs and had all the problem he was a promising young superstar for those may not believe hopefully will after this statistic is thrown at you. 10 years ago the Hardys were first seperted as a team a little because they didnt have anything left to accomplish this only lasted maybe a month, month & a half tops as both Hardy's had title runs in between this Jeff holding the IC & Matt holding the European title. This is a big deal not only cause Matt stayed as champion for longer than Jeff but matt also set a record one that was never broken. He became the longest regining US born European champion holding the title for 125 days in the spring of 2001 winning it on Smackdown and losing on Raw. He lost to Hurricane on the August 27th edition of Monday Night Raw. Hardy didnt hold another singles title till 2008 when he held the ECW world title on one occasion. He did win back the tag titles Jeff 2 times from when he lost the European title to when he

Roode Awaking

I have to applaud this because it is a company who really has their moments when it comes to doing good things and this is one of those good things. Over the last 3-4 months they being TNA has actually pushed someone with a not WWE past his name Bobby Roode. He has been pushed to the moon starting in the BFG series coming from behide to win the 4 way at No Surrender. Now Bobby is showing the in ring skills & mic skills that he has always had but never got the opportunity to show off. TNA please dont screw this up you are doing the right thing with pushing bobby cause he deseves it, so no jobbing & make it a clean finish thats all people ask. I also think Roode is ready to be world champion and have a decent regin to because Angle has had an average one & its not like Sting, Hardy, or Anderson really need another one so roode looks to be the only choice. The former indy star up in canada until the WWE gave him a couple of try-out matches to see what he got one of them being

This day is a very special day as one of the more smarter wrestlers was born 66 years ago today. He is the son of a plumber from Austin Texas "American Dream" Virgil Runnels aka Dusty Rhodes. He started in the AWA in 1974 teaming with Dick Murdoch before leaving for Floridia which is the place he would become the Dream. After match against the graham's dusty turned on his partner & became a good guy then cut the promo "Get a dream hold on to it and shoot for the stars daddy." From that point forward dusty kept gaining steem until he reached the Mid-Atlantic region which was the top at that point. In the eaarly stages he teamed with Manny Fernandez, Magnum T.A, then Nikita Koloff. He feuded with Flair, Blanchard, Funk, Race, Stevens, Abdulah The Butcher, & others. Dusty then booked for a bit coming up with the ideas of Lethal Lottery, War Games, & Battelbowl (you dont know one of them look them up or ask) he also coinded the ending a dusty finish or a

Many may not get what the title is taking about but thats why i am here to tell you what it means. Former TNA agent Brian Armstrong aka BG James aka Road Dogg is back working for the WWE in a 6 week trial period as an agent/producer. This is the first time Brian has been working for the WWE in anyway since early 2001 which was 10 years ago. His last was seen in a match teaming with K-Kwick (R-truth) but his last title run was the tag team titles with Billy Gunn. After leaving WWF he went to the WWA and became their world champion but the like the company success was short lived as was his. While in TNA he adopted a new name BG James (Brian Gerald James) & feuded with both Jarrett, & Truth who were top guys in the company at that point. He was also a part of SEX (Sports Entertainment Extreme lead by Vince Russo) however it was short lived as the group disbanded in less than 1 year. Today is something different i am doing a debut as this day last year it was 10/10/10 or last years Bound For Glory. Which was the ending of the world title tournament a triple threat match between Angle vs Anderson & Hardy. Before i tell you who won lets go back to the handicap match early in the show Jarrett & Joe vs Nash, Sting, & Pope, long story short joe lost because before the match ended Jeff walked out on Joe. I talked about that because Jeff has to do with the main event, which Jeff Hardy won shockingly with help from "they". Eric Bischoff comes down as Angle is going to win but before he can do anything on crutches here comes hogan they act like they are mad till Jeff takes Hulk's crutch and hit Angle pin for the 3. This leads to Jeff and Abyss coming out to celebrate with the happy Hogan & Bischoff they are here. IMMORTAL has terroized TNA for one year now and continues to do so getting stronger as weeks go by with more people. The only problem

As of today the once 3 time WWE champion the man who was the last Undisputed WWE Champion and only had a 3 year WWE career his name Brock Lesnar will be returning to the WWE games this year as a legend. Next week THQ will be announcing Brock as a legend in WWE 12 game, this would be Brock's first game since Smackdown "Here Comes the Pain" in 2003. During his WWE tenure Brock became the quickest person get a World title in WWE history debuting in April & winning the belt 4 months later. Beating a top company star in The Rock and becoming a top star in the process, his first marquee feud was against the Undertaker. During the feud with Undertaker they had one of the best Hell in a Cell in recent memory. His next feud was one where was the underdog for the first time in his WWE career this was against the Big Show the highlight of their feud was brock superplexing show off the top rope and making the ring collapse. Today the Wrestling world mourns the loss of another great could have been in this business he never really got to live out his full potential. This wasnt politics, it was greed, bad attitude, etc it was just a guy who made some bad decisions that guys name is "The American Love Machine" Art Barr. Art began his career up in oregon wrestling for the pacific northwest territory being shown the ropes by hall of famer Roddy Piper & his dad Sandy, brother Jesse, & Matt Osbourne aka the original Doink. He didnt have much success in his career until he found his way to Mexico after having uneventful stints in PNW (Paciffic Nortwest) & WCW. Ending up in the EMLL brought in by Konnan he and yet another uneventful stint in a company except this time he lost a Mask vs Mask match which is big in mexico & became a big heel. Their a heel he found his niche but where should he crave it, well Konnan created a new company AAA that is the perfect so Art goes. He forms a team wi

Scouting Report

Phil Shatter (Gunner) good in ring getting beter on mic Best Possible Feuds: Ray, Joe, Crimson, Bennett, Angle Gunner started on the indy circut in 2005 for the NWA Anarchy promotion after serving in the iraq war. He won the world title in that promotion then won the NWA National heavyweight belt which he just lost in feburary. Also was a holder of the SAW World Title but had to vacant it because of his TNA obligations. Starting in TNA in 2010 with Murphy & from the point they took Murphy off TV and have kept Gunner it has became obvisous that Gunner will be pushed in someway in the near future. Not Really much else to say other than i think TNA could have a future major star if they play their cards right with him as if he keeps getting better than only good things will happend. If TNA was smart they would have Flair & Hogan be helping Gunner become better on TV giving him pointers promo wise, match wise, etc. Cause that is why the veterans are partly their it is to he

Nerd Note

The first gimmick ever to grace its presence in the pro-wrestling world was the pretty boy gimmick of Jim Londos. A gimmick is the what type of character they play on television like wether they have a mask, need to be built, need to be fat, quick, slow, etc. Jim was the first person to capture the auidences attention as the attractive guy who made the girls crazy. He became one of wrestling's most popular stars during the depression. He also used the promotional tatic to show off his good looks he fight the ugliest guy he could find to get him over as a popular star. He also won the National Wrestling Associaton's world title or the first installment of the NWA before the National Wrestling Alliance. Also he was honored by Richard Nixon & the King of Greece for his philathropic efforts to help greece after the 2nd world war. Jim passed away in 1975 at the age of 78 after suffering a heart attack. Jim is rembered as being on of the founding fathers of this business and he w

This day in Westling History

Today one of the first performers of a major company past away before the age of 40 which unfortunatlly happends to often nowadays but was a rare occurance back then. This day something special because Brian William Pillman passed away today 14 years ago at the age of 35. It was the first of many drug related death that have hauted the wrestling world since as early as the late 80's when this was running ramped through the WCCW early death age. But during his life Brian was one of the best High Flyers of the 90's & could have been the first to be pushed to promincence but because of the bad booking in WCW he lost the opportunity to be a great singles star but a great tag star. 3 things that you need to know about brian from his WCW run and those are misused, mistreated, mismanaged. Brian was misused because he was cliquing as a singles star in the lightweight division they take him out he joins up with Austin (Hollywood Blondes) they have success booking breaks them up. Mis

Raw Goings on

6 years thats how long its been since i missed my last RAW and since that point i dont remember the last time that i didnt know what was going to happen in a story for this company until last night. The Vote of Confidence to the COO was the first time i saw something like that and with the amount of different companies i have seen it was something of a shock that i never even heard of it. Well when i saw it the first thing i thought of is that is nothing like the promo Punk cut 6/27 as this was all scripted to a tee. Seeing the face wrestlers stick around longer than Michael Cole that was good but seeing everyone from the stage crew, camera crew, justin roberts & mark yeaton (time keeper) was icying on the cake. To have JR stick around for a bit then have him leave to made the angle top off the right way with the people being the only ones happy to see him. I am also baffeled in the way that i dont if Lawler "quit" company or just walked out i do know however that if he d

Post PPV Thoughts

Yesterday was Hell in a Cell and like always i did my predictions and did the bets i ever have only getting one match out of 6 wrong. That match was the first one Christian vs Sheamus which Sheamus won not christian like i thought. This was better than Cara vs Cara which the crowd was not into at all which was kind of surprising but not really at the same time cause i think this feud maybe taking away from the momentum Cara once had. Christian vs Sheamus behide in my opinion both world title matches was the best match of the night cause it was a good match and the crowd was into it. But also the highlights were Henry retaing the title which means they will actually keep the belt off Orton for hopefully long enough to give him good regin. Also Del Rio won back the world title (which really needs to stop changing hands so much) in the triple threat match. Which that was also a good match but they continued the big angle as well that being the consipricy theory by having Johnny Ace get ar

Real Wrestling

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1AvsK_COpk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHATV3DPQww http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRm-2loMupM The best feud i have seen in a very long time in FCW Jon Moxley (Dean Ambrose) vs Tyler Black (Seth Rollins) show what real wrestling is in all their matches they have with each other you pick the one you like the most I,  II, or III

PPV Predictions

Hell in a Cell Sheamus vs Christian this will be a good match cause its a big feud both guys will get their offense in. But i think Christian will be the victor will the help from some of his other disgrulted superstar friends (cody, dolph, otunga, jack) which will make people want to see monday Kelly Kelly vs Beth Pheonix this will unfortuatlly be usual divas match maybe 2-3 minutes then over i mean aint that how it always is. I see Beth winning the match because this would be the third time she is going for it and unless they are playing on making something happend to push the match back to monday then beth will win Sin Cara vs Sin Cara this will be a fast paced match & has all the makings of a good match but they just have give them enough time but not to much and dont let it be hell in the cell. I think the real Sin Cara wins so he can finally get an advantage over the other Sin Cara and at least now we can tell whose who (c)Air Boom vs Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger Tag T

This day in Westling History

Today I would like to wish a happy birthday to one of the most underated talents in wrestling today his name Michael McGillicutty or Joe Henning. Joe was born 32 years ago today in Champlin Minnesota into one of the most prominent wrestling families the henning family. Joe's dad Curt is one of the most underated stars in wrestling history never really reaching his true potentail becoming a world champion in a major company. Joe's grand-dad Larry won many territory tag team belts over his career but is also a former 4 time AWA tag champion 3 times with Harley Race & 1 time with Duke Hoffman. Joe was signed to a developmental deal in late 2007 after competiting for Race's WLW promotion for around a year. While in FCW he became a 3 time tag champion all times with different partners 1 with Heath Slater, 1 with Brett Dibiase, & the last with Kaval. He also won the World Title on one occasion back in November 2008 debuting with the main roster in 2010 on NXT. He also has
