WWE: PPV Problems

Since the begining of the PG era it seems like the WWE ppv's have been suffering for lack of a better word from the buys, to hype, to fan interest. WWE blames everything else but themselves they blame the economy, NFL, NBA, UFC, etc its never their fault which isnt true. If you look back to the period of 1997-2001 WWE's ppv's were in its golden age cause they were hyping the shows making matches people wanted to see. But ever since 2006 WWE has stopped doing and kept going with the same old formula that doesnt seem to be working. I just dont think they realized that the PPV format they had where the big ppv's were Royal Rumble-Backlash first half then King of The Ring-Unforgiven as second half making Summerslam & Wrestlemania the big Paper Views. But i think once then realized that they didnt have competition anymore they could change what worked and try something new. Which is what they did in 2002 which was the last time the King of the Ring was on PPV and the last time Summerslam had a large amount of hype behind it. WWE doesnt realize that its not the fans or anything out of the company causing this spike in ppv buys its their lack of new ideas, lack of hype, lack of new stars which is hurting their ppv's. John Cena, Orton, HHH, Sheamus, Jericho, Edge, & etc can only main event so many ppv's before people want new things, before they want to see new stars facing other new stars in the main event. Which is something WWE hasnt done enough in the past couple of years cause honestlly i think they are afraid it may work, and they may find new stars which dont want because they have there golden boys already. I said this last time WWE focuses to much on the ratings and not enough on what the people want which in their world is what they tell them to want cause we dont really know. But if that was the case would we be buying the ppv's no matter what thought so now who's going to tell WWE that. WWE needs to go back to the old formula of spilting the year into to two like they used because the product was better when they had that formula & the fans were more willing to spend the money because of it. They need to change cause if they dont then their ppv's & shows will continue to suffer.
The next edition of Look Inside WWE will focus on their talent roster everyone from FCW to WWE to the people scouting the talent & firing the talent in Stamford. Which will lead into a new specail blog post series which i will be starting soon about every promotion.
