June 2nd 2003 This is what the story read one of the greats, a very classiy man passes away today he was 85 and he is a former prowrestler & manager named Freddrick Blassie. He also one of the few wrestlers actually to have served in the military which he did for 42 months during WW2 where he gained the honor of being Petty Officer Second Class. He is also known for coming up with his catchphrase Listen Up Pencil Neck Geek which he used to describe fellow carny performer "The Geek" During his wrestling career he acculated awards/championships everywhere he went from all the territories He won 12 Tag Team Titles, A 29 time World & Junior Heavyweight champion. Today I would like to wish a happy birthday to a man whose seen his stock rise on the Indy Circuit 10 fold over the last year. I am refrering to the former CZW talent "Psycho Shooter" Drake Younger, he left to purse a safer way in pro-wrestling to make a living outside CZW. Drake now performs for other independent companies namley Pro-Wrestling Guerrila in California. Drake won many champions as apart of CZW and in many respects helped the company become famous but decide to do what's better for his family and purse a safer working enviornment. This day 4 years ago saw the end of an era even though it wasn't known at the time but it is known as the last time Cyber Sunday went on ppv. Over a 4 year period this ppv took a unique idea and built a ppv around the idea that the fans chose the stips for every match. For it's four year history Cyber Sunday was always around the same time which was the end of October or early November. The one problem I have heard from numerous people about this ppv is that nobody knew any match so they didn't want to pay for matches they didn't know the stips for. Basically it was unique for a time but it lost it's uniqueness and end up being replaced by Bragging Rights in 2009. The big stories going into this ppv first from RAW were between Jericho vs Batista & Santino vs Past IC Champions; if you don't remember the Santino story he was trying to beat the Honky Tonk Man's record reign as IC champ.
